Oh The Things I Will Miss ... Part Three

So the next installment of the things I will miss while in the Peace Corps are 2 kind of weather-ish related things. The first thing I'm going to miss is the Beach! Especially OC-MD.

Sunset on the Bay in OC
An old picture of my sis and me after a day of boogie boarding in OC.

I've spent a lot of my life in Ocean City, Maryland. I spent summer vacations there with my family, playing mini-golf, spending the all day at the beach and pool, and going to the Boardwalk. And after college I lived there for the summer with some of my best friends, working at a Bar/Restaurant.

The second thing I am going to miss is SNOW! I love love love snow. My senior year of college was when the East Coast got hit with those huge blizzards. It was so much fun. So even though Paraguay does have a "winter" it typically would never get cold enough to snow. I hope Maryland gets one good snow storm before I leave and maybe I'll get to go snowboarding before I leave too :)

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas!

One thing I am super excited about is that Christmas falls before February when I leave for Paraguay. So I can put all the things I need/want on my Christmas List

Kelley's Christmas List:

Luggage - At the moment I'm leaning towards this L.L. Bean

Rain Jacket -- Preferably a North Face like this one

Kindle - I love to read .. and this is perfect for traveling in general so I probably would still use it after PC, even though I'm still a big fan of real books :)

Those are the big ones. There are obviously some other things I need/want before I leave. But these are the main things I'm asking for, for Christmas.
