That Was a Fast 7-10 Business Days ...

I only had to wait 24 hours for my invitation and that was LONG enough. I am officially heading to :

 

Paraguay! 

Staging is on February 8th ... its only 132 days away.

Totally Unexpected.

As of last week my Placement Officer Brian said it could be awhile before I get my invitation which I explained in my last post. But, this morning I was very shocked to wake up with an email from him saying he sent me an INVITATION and I should be getting it in 7-10 business days (hopefully sooner since I'm not that far from DC)!

So all I know is its for Rural Health and Sanitation in Central/South America in a Spanish speaking country and I leave in February. So looking at the ever helpful Peace Corps Wiki Timeline there are definitely a few options but, I'm not going to do to much speculating. We'll see in 7-10 business days :)

More waiting ... what a shocker!

So I haven't updated you guys in a while. I've been working with my placement officer on a plan for me to gain a little bit more construction experience and now I'm finally cleared for placement!


Now I'm just waiting for an invitation that he said he definitely wants to give me its just that he said that  they are currently assessing their programmatic needs for 2012, so it could be some time before he knows what positions will be available (including those departing January-March and later). 

So until they figure that stuff out I'm still waiting ...
